Prague

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

Just got back from Prague. A wonderful city! If you ever get the chance you should definitely go there! Just the architecture is amazing, and the beer is one of its kind.

Prague Castle at night

When you go there you’ve got to go to the Prague Castle, that I’ve learned is the biggest castle in Europe. And it doesn’t really surprice me.

Hmm, now I’m going downstairs to see if I can get my clothes that should be dry by now.

It’s a deal!

The Mystery

Image by Cesar R. via Flickr

Just got done with a meeting with a interesting company that I will be working with in the near future. We are going to make a new way of guiding people on the net.

Basically what we are going to do is a system for guiding people through their webbrowser. The company that is named CoStream has got a patent on this technique, which is nice, since the timeframe increases greatly because of this. Not meaning that we want to wait though. We are going to work hard to get this product done by summer next year, and then go on to testing after that.

We are quite sure that it’s going to be possible, but we’ll see. :)

PS. the picture doesn’t have anything to do with the text, it’s just me trying out Zemanta.

PUA - To master picking up girls

Monday, September 8th, 2008

I don’t know if you ever have heard about the concept of PUAs, also known as pick up artists. This was a fairly hidden community until Niel Strauss, a.k.a. known as Style in the community, wrote the book the game a couple of years ago.

Anyway, I’ve been intreagued about the whole concept for quite a while, does it really work, do people actually act that way? Can you actually map people so easely? Girls act that way and men that way, and if you act this way then you’ll be more successfull with women.

The biggest group out there at the moment that I know of is the ones following the Mystery Method, read it and say what you think.

Anyway, the reason why I’m talking about this is because a couple of month ago I met this dude in class that said that he was one of the best PUAs in Sweden. At that I said that I wanted him to teach me, and so now a couple of month later we actually hit it off, and had a bootcamp for a weekend. I don’t know if it’s the right word, but unfortuneatly for the camp, I’ve met this great gal, so I didn’t really see the point of having the camp. But what the heck, it could be fun just to see what it was all about, and we had booked the weekend a while back.

So we started on Wednesday and had a couple of hours lectures on how to act, and then we hit the club. Drinking modestly, becauseĀ  a PUA doesn’t get drunk. I started off opening some sets, and just getting the basics. Along the way he kept noting stuff done that I did, so we could talk about it the day after. Nothing that exiting happened, that day and I can tell you I was still quite sceptic towards the whole idea.

Day two we had some more lecturing, but mostly we talked about the day before and made up a new opener for me. (Here is a opener to make you get the feel of what it is: opener, written by Style)

After that a friend of my tutor came and we went to the bar together, and today we did a bit more of sarging (which is a nickname for the actuall act of picking up). Opening some sets and just having fun talking to people. And that’s when I realized that what I was doing actually was really fun, and not with the goal to fuck, but to meet new people! I was walking around in the bar, talking to people I’ve never talked to before and just having a blast.

Anyway, that was a short story about what happened during my first bootcamp, we are going to have more. And if I feel like it I will write about them here too! :)

Over and out.

Puh! - 2000 feeds and counting

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

Been reading my feeds today, and I’ve been lazy lately, so today I’m having a lot to go through. I don’t even know if that is a sane thing to say, I could just skip it, but lately I’ve been adding up to a really good set of feeds, with really interesting stuff, so I don’t want to miss anything.

Talked to some guys at jaiku about this, and we figured out what needs to be done to lessen the time spent.

This was what we agreed on to speed up the reading:

1. Read the header, is it something interresting? - If no proceed to next feed, else go to 2

2. Read sub-headers, is it something interresting? - If no proceed to next feed, else go to 3

3. Read the interresting sub-headers

Have been doing this now, and it has done wonders to the time I spend reading my daylis does of info from the blogosphere.

Hope this is to some help for you.

VC - not easy

Monday, July 14th, 2008

I’ve been really into VC (Venture Capital) of late. Looking into how it works, and how it works in todays web 2.0 era. No matter how much I read there seams to be a lot more to read, and a lot more to understand. For example I’m not that much of a economic person, and that is what’s making my head spin most of the time. Cash Flow, Burn Rate, Stocks, and there are a lot more. Separately they might not be that difficult to understand, but somewhere along these different “words” actually coexists and depends on each other. That is what I’m having a hard time to understand.

A lot of the VC stuff out there is also only looking towards how companies are supposed to make their way, but nothing about the people actually doing the work. So I got hold of this article by Guy Kawasaki, and it’s worth a read. It’s really interesting especially if you are not that much of a economist, like me :)

Anyway, I’ll update about this soon, and I’ve some exiting stuff to tell you about why I’m researching this right now.

Tired

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

I’ve been sleeping an avrage of 4 hours a night the laste couple of weeks, except for the weekends. It’s starting to take it’s toll on me. Fortuneately I’m going to France to meet up with at couple of friends for the weekend, so I have that to look forward to and obviously some sleep! :)

Lately I’ve been doing to jobs and trying to read up on the SEO area of the web, SEO is really interesting, and it’s still a quite new area, that is developing really fast. I’ll se what dent I can leave in it.

Anyway, just wanted to say something, now I’m going to finish off some of the stuff that I’ve got left to do for today, and then I’m going to hit the sack big time!

Interesting thing to say…

I was going to say “Hey that won’t happen in Sweden”, but then we just got a new law that pretty much contradicts that so…

Anyhow, read this article, it’s interesting

Starting my own business

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Hey!

Today I’ve been looking into what’s needed to start my own company in Sweden. The reason for this is that I’ve got a job todo and they agreed on having me as a consultant. I’m seeing this as an opertunity to try the this “starging your own business” thing. Hopefully I’ll be a billionare before this year is over :)

Nah, but it’s going to be fun anyway.

I’m still trying to figure out what the name of the company is supposed to be, it could be something cool, or it could just be my name. But recently I’ve been looking into the SEO market and have understood the importance of it. So I’ll wait a bit with the name and for now just get to know what I need to do to get my company as well known ass possible!

Marathon no good :(

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

So I haven’t written, and you can probably understand why. I didn’t manage to finish the marathon.

I did 30 k, and the last 10 I was doing even faster than the first, if you count average that is. Everything was feeling really good, but when I reached 26 k it started to heart in my knees, and I started taking it a bit easier. But when I reached about 30 I could barely move any longer, so i decided to stop.

And walk instead, but when I reached the 32 k line I realize that it wasn’t any point. My knees were pretty well buckling, and I was almost crying. I stopped at a Med station to ask for some painkillers but they only had some soft shit, so I realized that I wasn’t going to be able to finish the race. CRAP!

Anyhow, I thought that it was better quitting and actually being able to walk for the rest of my life than screwing my knees up. So stopping it was.

But today my feet are so bad that I can barely walk. I know that I’m wining, but I usually don’t and I’ve never had a injury of this kind. It hearts under my feet, just beneath the outre sides of the foot. And I don’t know what it is. It almost feels like I’m stepping right on bone, and as there isn’t any flesh in between.

Anyhow, I’m going to have a couple of days rest and just work and see what happens.

Hope you all are doing well, the weather here is wicked and I have to stay inside, but every day after work I’m headed out to stay in the sun.

Hope you guys are having a good time too!

Here is a picture from the stockholm marathon!

Marathon 3 days left

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

So Saturday is the D-day, I’m going to run my first marathon. It’s quite a while since a last spoke about it, but that is mostly because I haven’t really been into it since I thought I wasn’t going to run due to my knees. But that has all changed now, and on Saturday I’m going to run.

So far I’ve done half a marathon, and that is not nearly enough of what I would have needed to run, but hey, I can run on will the last half!

However my goal to do it in less than three and a half hour is kind of thrown out the window. I’ve been traning regularly for the marathon for about three weeks now, so I can’t really look forward to a great time. Just getting around is good enough for me. This time.

I’ll keep you posted, hopefully I’ll manage to write you on sunday or something when I’ve done the race and tell you how I’m feeling and how it went.
