TextFlow’s Shiny Document Collaboration System
Wednesday, May 28th, 2008Just read about this company, really interesting really.
Seem to have quite a few nice features too.
I just signed up for a beta, I’m not so keen that I want to be using a too buggy version that they are letting you try now. However it seems like a good thing and I’ll probably start using it sooner och later, at least if it’s free.
Looks good anyhow.
Have a look!

iPhone to Sweden
Wednesday, May 28th, 2008The iPhone is probably the most commented, talked about and rumored product of late.
It’s been out for almost a year, but it hasn’t showed up on the market here in Sweden yet. This is weird since we quite often get the new things fairly quick. This has been a bit of a wounder for me, and I still haven’t really been able to reach any good conclusion. Hopefully soon I woun’t have to though! Apparently we are going to get the iPhone in a brief future!
But, I’m still not sure if it would fit me. The iPhone, however sleek and cool it is, is still a bit to big for me. The problem for me will be that there won’t be an option whether I have to bring it or not. I need my phone, and having a iPhone means that it has to be it. But I still really like the things you can do with it. So what I’m looking at at the moment is to by a iPod Touch and then keep my smaller phone. Then I can leave the Touch at home when I don’t feel like bringing it and still have a phone close by.
Anyhow, the phone is coming to Sweden!

Champions League Final 2008
Thursday, May 22nd, 2008So today was the final of the UEFA Champions League, between Manchester United - Chelsea. Really good game actually. An early goal by Ronaldo and then in the second half a goal by Lampard.
Then the whole thing went to penalties, really exiting that too.
In general a really good game, worth seeing even if you are not really a fan of none of the teams.
Need to finish some reports, so I can’t be writing any more about it, but here is a good site to get some good facts: UEFA.com.

Pirate Bay soon in a court near you…
Thursday, May 15th, 2008
Most of you probably know about the pending trial against the Pirate Bay here in Sweden. Actually it was just a matter of time before it was headed for the court, but it doesn’t make it less interesting.
The outcome of this trial will decide the future of the net in a way, but it will also change the way of how we think about sharing information over the internet.
Basically the only thing that PB has been doing all these years is to provide a search engine where you can search for illegal stuff. So far it’s never been proven illegal in sweden, but on the other hand it’s never been as many eyes and big corporations backing up the claim of it being illegal.
I’m a really big fan of Pirate Bay and the way they are trying to change the net, and by that against the big corporations. This doesn’t mean that I don’t like watching movies with cool effects that costs a shit load to do and actors that cost even more. It’s not really that that the Pirate Bay is for me, PB is the freedom of sharing, whatever you want to share over the internet. Whether it’s a file or just your thoughts.
Because that is what the PB does, if I’m not totally misinformed, they inform people where to find the illegal stuff, but they have nothing to do with the actual illegal part of downloading and sharing. A thin line maybe, but a verdict against PB would say that there actually is certain stuff that you are not aloud to share over internet. This to me is the bad thing, that some big corporations can decide what I’m aloud to do or not.
So by this I want to raise a thought to Pirate Bay, and I do really hope that the verdict will be for PB and their belief of how the internet is supposed to work.

Thursday, May 15th, 2008What’s with that dude anyway?
Is he totally delusional?
The last thing that I’ve read is that he thinks that he isn’t that bad, since he didn’t kill them.
Hmmm, I say just kill him, we don’t need that kind of people in the world, if he was even a bit regrettable of what he has done then I wouldn’t say so, but this is just ridiculous.

Facebook - that good to you?
Thursday, October 25th, 2007So I was reading this article in the Swedish newspaper, and that’s the first time that I ever heard about this. Since I very rarely read the whole agreement when I sign up for a new site. But apparently when you upload pictures to facebook you give facebook all the rights to the pictures. That is they can do whatever they want with the pictures. Luckily I haven’t uploaded anything yet.
Swedish people read more about it here:

Every kid should have a computer
Sunday, October 21st, 2007I don’t know if that is the first thing that comes in to mind when I think about what poor children needs. But it’s sure as hell gives them a bigger advantage in the rest of the world.
Anyhow, it’s worth a look.

Refused to give her bag away… , even though they threatened her with a gun
Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007Sorry English speaking people, but this article is written in Swedish.
But it’s about how a woman refused to give away her bag even though the offenders were threatening her with a gun.
Dagens Nyheter - Vägrade ge bort väskan - trots pistolhot
It’s cocky and maybe even a bit reckless, probably a lot, but this time it worked.
Anyhow I’m impressed by the woman.. Keep strong!
